Question How can my company reduce the legal risk from what employees write in e-mail documents?

Question Simply pushing delete does not eliminate the exposure in litigation of damaging e-mails. Courts have required companies to expend fortunes to recover and produce e-mails in lawsuits. Procedures for regular retention and destruction of e-documents should be adopted. Policies concerning the appropriate use of e-mail should be published. Employees should be required to acknowledge in writing that they understand their e-mails will be monitored.
