Question I'm about to hire a key employee away from a competitor who is threatening me with legal action for potential theft of trade secrets. What can I do?

Question While a departing employee is not expected to forget everything learned on the job, the employee cannot use or disclose in their new position any proprietary or trade secret information belonging to their former employer. You should remind both new and current employees of this prohibition, and also advise all new employees, in writing, not to bring any documents or materials from their former employer, even if they believe that this material belongs to them or does not contain confidential information.
