Question What major deal points should I achieve in negotiations with my Web site developer?

Question You should ensure that you are not obligated to pay your Web site developer until the developer achieves appropriate benchmarks in the project. Title to the deliverables should pass from the developer to you (or your company) upon each such payment/benchmark. This conserves cash and protects you better than having payments tied to dates because many projects are fraught with delays and debugging periods. Make sure that the project is a work for hire to the fullest extent possible.
